I live in Taylorsville, NC with my son and our three dogs.  We have a German Shepherd, Harley, which is now 10 years old and a Golden Retriever, Sammy, which is now 4 years old.  We also now have Max, which is a mix breed of German Shepherd and Beagle (we think).  He is precious, they all are.  I have always had a pet (or more) since I can remember.  I actually do not remember a time when we didn't have a dog or cat around the house. 

I've also been around horses my entire life.  I took my first horse ride when I was one year old (ok, I was being led around by my Dad, but it was my first ride).  Ever since then, I was hooked!  When I was younger, I used to take off to my neighbor's house and ride their horses.  My Mom would come out the front door, see me riding through the fields, and yell for me to "get off that horse".  I guess being a Mom, she was scared to see her little girl flying through the fields on the back of a horse.
